Aset's Birthday Celebration: A Bath and A Pledge of Pages to Come

I decided to barrow and idea from Kiya Nicoll (based on her recent blog post) and do a Bluing Bath for Aset’s day. It was…different. I don’t take baths often, and I have this very OCD thing about washing residues off of myself (can’t use lotion, bug spray, nail polish etc… without going a bit insane afterward) and letting something “dry on my skin” without rinsing off is a rare experience for me. I didn’t feel particularly *clean* at first, but I noticed a marked difference in energy and even if I wasn’t fully *clean* it was clear when I stepped into the shrine room that the natron I added to the bath had gotten me *pure*, at least. Hours later, while I still don’t feel *clean*, I feel this kind of fuzzy goodness on my skin and I’m not anxious to wash it off…which is impressive to me.

The actual Senut was unusually quiet for me, in the sense that I kind of sat there without knowing what to say. I had a harder time connecting to Aset than I did to the other Names I’ve honored this week. But then I got a subtle nudge to dig through the bottom drawer of the shrine cabinet and put all the “magic” things I’ve made out on the altar “where they belong”. I did and got another revelation: I should add a page to this blog for Heka and put out what I’ve been doing. I should also chronicle and reveal the divination system I created on a page.

I know this post seems kind of short, but I’m anxious to work on those other pages, they are my official assignment from Aset herself after all and I will, of course, be dedicating them to Her once I finish them, hence the reason her entry here is a bit shorter than the others. So yeah…keep an eye out for those pages to come soon :)

Dua Aset!
